Air Koryo Flight Update – Shanghai Pudong

Air Koryo operates a regular service between Shanghai Pudong (PVG) and Pyongyang (FNJ) which we take advantage of to arrange many of our scheduled group tours and tailored private tours.

These flights have traditionally operated on the following schedule:

Shanghai (PVG)- Pyongyang (FNJ)
FRI & MON: JS158 Shanghai (PVG) – Pyongyang (FNJ) 0030 0350

Pyongyang (FNJ) – Shanghai (PVG)
THURS & SUN: JS157 Pyongyang (FNJ) – Shanghai (PVG) 2150 2330

Effective as of August 8, 2019, the timeslot for these above flights has been marginally changed. The timings have been brought forward (earlier) by approximately two hours in both directions, as per the following schedule:

Shanghai (PVG)- Pyongyang (FNJ)
THURS & SUN: JS158 Shanghai (PVG) – Pyongyang (FNJ) 2235 0155 (+1 day)

Pyongyang (FNJ) – Shanghai (PVG)
THURS & SUN: JS157 Pyongyang (FNJ) – Shanghai (PVG) 1955 2135

For those of you already registered on a tour of ours via Shanghai, we will be reaching out to you individually with this information.

If you’re instead thinking about joining a tour with us via Shanghai, we think these new flight timings will be more convenient for you (not to mention less confusing!) An extra couple hours of sleep after arrival in Pyongyang can mean a world of difference!
