Pyongyang Marathon 2021 Announced – April 11, 2021

Great news! We’ve been notified that the annual Mangyongdae Prize International Marathon (Pyongyang Marathon) is expected to be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

As you may be aware, this year’s 2020 Pyongyang Marathon was officially cancelled back on February 21 due to the outbreak of COVID-19 internationally. After a year hiatus, the excitement for the 2021 event is sure to be high with some fierce competition!

As usual, the 2021 Pyongyang Marathon will be open to amateur runners and there will be 5k, 10k, half and full marathon events. The route is expected to be similar to that planned for 2020, which will take in more of Pyongyang than ever before, and will be confirmed as we get closer to the date. For more information on what to expect, including race entry fees, see our blog post.
