The Sijung area is around 45 kilometers drive from Wonsan city. The area is famous for its pristine waters. A shipwreck is on the beach making it a great photo opportunity. The beach has good waves, a perfect stop for the Uri Tours surf adventure. Sijung Lake is known for its healing muds, which are used all over North Korea. The mud is said to treat anything from fatigue in wrinkles, to cerebral trauma and hepatitis. Mud baths are available at the hotel on site. There are 2 different accommodations on site, a basic motel, and a hotel that offers deluxe rooms. Tourists will stay at the hotel. The Sijung area is serene and mostly untouched. Foreign tourists to this area will be among the first of their kind.
