Ski & Snowboard Extension – Ski in North Korea at Masikryong Ski Resort

2 Nights – from €420

Visiting North Korea during winter? Extend any tour with a private extension to North Korea’s premier Masikryong Ski Resort! The complex was opened in late-2013 to international media attention, and Uri Tours were among the first to enjoy the facilities. We’ve arranged an annual group tour, regular private tours and extensions ever since!

Masikryong Ski Resort is comprised of 10 slopes of over 18km in length with varying degrees of difficulty, including beginners. The summit is Taehwa Peak at 1363m.

From our experience, the best time to visit the resort is between early January to mid-March.

DAY 1 – DRIVE TO MASIKRYONG SKI RESORT

This morning your group tour will end. Instead of departing North Korea, you’ll instead embark on a journey to the Masikryong Ski Resort!

The drive to Masikryong Ski Resort takes approximately 3.5 – 4 hours. On arrival at the resort, check-in and enjoy lunch.

The afternoon is yours! Ski or snowboard ‘til your heart’s content and chill out at the lodge during your downtime. If you’re a beginner, you can get lessons from the local Korean instructors, they’re fantastic and even taught some of our foreign staff to ski right here on location.

The facilities at Masikryong Ski Resort are world-class with amenities including swimming pool, spa and massage facilities, barber, Korean table games, pool and ping pong tables and a myriad of bars, restaurants and coffee shops to get lost in.

If you don’t fancy the slopes, there are other activities available such as ice skating, tobogganing/luging, snow bikes or taking the gondola to Taehwa Peak (with coffee shop and bar).
