Air Koryo Timetable and Information
Air Koryo is North Korea’s only airline and has a history of over 50 years in flight.
Air Koryo currently operates internationally scheduled flights between Pyongyang, China (Beijing, Shenyang, and Shanghai) and Russia (Vladivostok).
In the past, there have been scheduled flights between Thailand (Bangkok), Macau and Kuwait, as well as charter flights to and from Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore and a handful of other countries.
Air Koryo operates domestic flights between Pyongyang and Mt. Paektu (Samjiyon), Mt. Chilbo (Orang), Sinuiju (Uiji), Hamhung (Sondok), and Wonsan (Kalma).

** UPDATE (May 5, 2018): ‘Pyongyang Time’ has been abolished. The DPRK is back to GMT+9. All schedules below have been updated to reflect this.

Beijing, China – Pyongyang
Monday/Thursday/Friday flights run only seasonally:
**Friday flights to and from Beijing will operate from July to October.
**Monday flights to and from Beijing will operate from April to October.
**Thursday flights to and from Beijing are often canceled during December and January.

Terms and Conditions
- Tickets are valid for date change one year from the date of issue unless there is a restriction on the validity of the ticket, subject to applicable change fees.
- An infant under the age of 2 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Such infant is entitled to a 90% discount of the applicable adult fare but cannot occupy an individual seat.
- Children from the age of 2 to 11 are entitled to a 25% discount of the applicable adult fare and are entitled to individual seats.
Baggage
- Each passenger may carry-on one piece of baggage that is suitable for placing in the closed overhead rack or under the passenger seat.
- The total sum of its three dimensions must not exceed 115cm (45inches).
- The baggage liability of Air Koryo is limited to US$20 per kg of checked baggage.
- Air Koryo assumes no liability for unchecked baggage, fragile or perishable articles.
- Liability for loss, delay of, or damage to baggage is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges are paid.
The free baggage allowances are as follows:
- Business class: 30kg (66 lbs)
- Economy class: 23kg (50lbs)
In excess of such allowances, excess baggage charges must be paid: 20RMB per kg of excess from Beijing to Pyongyang and 2 Euros per kg from Pyongyang to Beijing.
Dangerous articles, as defined below and in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, shall not be carried within, or as part of passengers’ baggage:
- Compressed gases (flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as camping gas
- Corrosives (such as acids, alkalis and wet cell batteries)
- Etiologic agents
- Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares
- Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter or heating fuels, matches and articles which are easily ignited.
- Oxidizing materials (such as bleaching powder and peroxides)
- Poisonous materials
- Radioactive materials
- Other restricted articles (such as mercury, magnetized materials, offensive or irritating materials
In-Flight Service
- Air Koryo provides a selection of unique newspapers, magazines and television programming.
- Complimentary meals and beverages are served on international flights.
- Smoking is prohibited on all Air Koryo flights.
